Mile High United Way Honors Pivotal Board Member

By Christine Benero, president and CEO, Mile High United Way

Mile High United Way board member Rollie Heath was given the seemingly impossible task of increasing our fundraising campaign by 16 percent in the first year of our Five-Year Plan – a feat that many thought would be unachievable.  But Rollie didn’t shy away from the challenge.  In fact, he relished it.  Not only did he meet the goal of $36 million, he exceeded it by nearly $1 million.

Mile High United Way’s 16 percent increase in donations represented one of the largest increases of any major market United Way in the entire country.

In addition to the amazing leadership Rollie provided to our campaign, he started a mentorship program at Manual High School that brought hundreds of mentors from the business community to mentor at-risk youth.  His dedication to this program, has touched hundreds of lives.

Rollie’s leadership at Mile High United Way and the mentorship program at Manual High School, and everything he has done and will do for our community and our State through his commitment to public service, is appreciated more than words can say.

Thank you Rollie!
